Ultra-Orthodox victims lightly and moderately wounded in attack near the Old City; terrorist shot dead by police.
Two ultra-Orthodox men were wounded Saturday morning in a stabbing attack in central Jerusalem, police and medical officials said. It was the latest in a wave of attacks spreading fear among residents.
Police said the perpetrator of the attack, a Palestinian from East Jerusalem, was shot and killed by officers who rushed to the scene. The Walla news website reported that the attacker was 16 years old.
Magen David Adom medics said the two victims, aged 62 and 65, were both taken to hospital “conscious and in stable condition.” One suffered light injuries and the other moderate.
