Israeli president makes remarks upon arrival in Moscow on official visit to Russia.

 

As Russia plans to begin withdrawing its forces from the conflict in Syria, President Reuven Rivlin stressed Tuesday that the government in Jerusalem must coordinate with Moscow.

 

“Everyone understands that the Islamic State group is a threat to the whole world, but fundamentalist Islam in Shi’ite Iran is no less of a threat,” the president said upon landing in Moscow.
